Big News: We're Dragonfly Outfitters Now

You may have noticed a new name on the sign. Dragonfly Kayak Tours has grown into something bigger - we're now Dragonfly Outfitters, and our shop at 704 Coho Way is open and stocked for the season. Stop in to check out new and used kayaks (including Mocean and Sterling demo boats you can get on the water), stand up paddleboards, PFDs, paddles, splash jackets, and more. We're big believers in keeping good gear out of the landfill, so you'll find a solid selection of quality used equipment alongside our new inventory. Come see us!

Book a Tour — Spots Are Going Fast

We've got open dates on the calendar this summer and we want to fill them with you. Here's what's available right now:

Half Day Tour — $109/person

We launch from Wildcat Cove in Larrabee State Park just outside of Bellingham's city limits and spend a few hours exploring the Chuckanut Bay coastline with sandstone cliffs, tidepools, wildlife, and some of the prettiest water in the Pacific Northwest. Perfect for families, first-timers, and anyone who needs a reset. Book your spot here.

Bioluminescence Tour — $119/person

Paddling through glowing water at night is one of those experiences that's hard to explain and impossible to forget. The water lights up around your boat and paddle, fish leave streaks of light below the surface... it's genuinely magical. These tours run late (you need full dark), and they fill up. Don't wait. Grab your spot here.

Events — Come Find Us This Week

Kayaking for Boaters — Tuesday, July 21 | Bellingham Yacht Club | 6:30–8:30 pm | Free

Kayakers and boaters share the water every day, but how well do we actually understand each other? This hands-on intro class, led by Tori Dawson of Dragonfly Outfitters, is designed specifically for boaters. No kayaking experience required. You'll learn how kayaks move and communicate on the water, how to spot a paddler in distress, and how to approach and assist safely without making things worse. Real skills, practical scenarios, and a much better feeling the next time you see a kayak out there. It's free but please register so we have a headcount. Register here.

LFS Squalicum Harbor Block Party — Wednesday, July 22 | 11 am–3 pm | Squalicum Harbor

This is going to be a great afternoon! LFS Marine & Outdoor is hosting their second annual block party right here at the harbor, with free hot dogs, refreshments, music, and prizes. Dragonfly Outfitters will be there and we're giving away a free kayak tour for two. Stop by our table for a chance to win, and if you make a purchase in the shop that day, we've got free prizes with purchase too. Come say hi!

Free Pilates for Paddlers — Zuanich Park

This one is just a gift. We're offering free mat Pilates sessions at Zuanich Park to help you build the core strength and flexibility that makes paddling feel so much better. No experience needed! Just show up, move your body, and maybe stick around afterward. After each session, we're inviting everyone back to the shop for some socializing, shopping, and refreshments. Good people, good gear, good vibes.

Dates: July 25, August 15, and August 29 | 9–10:30 am

We'll see you on the water — or at the harbor, or at the park, or in the shop.

Tori & the Dragonfly Team
