Summer in the Pacific Northwest has a way of slipping by. With only about six weeks of prime paddling season left before cooler mornings and shorter days arrive, let's make the most of it!
Here's what's happening at Dragonfly this month.
Made by the Sea — First Friday | August 7
Join us for an evening of art, music, and community at Dragonfly Outfitters.
Browse original work from our resident artists, all inspired by the Salish Sea, enjoy live music, connect with fellow creatives and sip on light refreshments.
Thursday, August 7 • 6–8 PM 704 Coho Way
Cost: Free
Planning an evening out? Our friends at Bellingham SeaFeast are hosting a Paint & Sip fundraiser from 5–7 PM just next door at the Working Waterfront Coalition office. Paint a whimsical Art Nouveau shrimp, enjoy wine and seafood nibbles, then stroll over to Dragonfly afterward for Made by the Sea. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased here.

Sucia Island Expeditions
Ready for something bigger?
Our fully catered Sucia Island expeditions, offered in partnership with Island Opportunity Charters, take you to one of the most spectacular destinations in the San Juan Islands.
Paddle quiet coves, explore sandstone cliffs, watch the sunset from camp, and leave the planning to us. We provide the logistics, meals, and gear. All you have to do is simply show up and enjoy the adventure.
Trips are available by request and are suitable for all experience levels, including families.
